About

Activity Cards

Activities are designed to integrate financial literacy into the Grades 1–8 Health and Physical Education (H&PE) curriculum by providing students with opportunities to explore healthy living skills while considering how financial choices and decisions affect our overall well-being. Activity cards also include cross-curricular connections to Math and Language, making the activities easy to use in various lessons and settings.

Activity cards are divided by division (primary, junior, intermediate) to provide teachers with flexibility to adapt instructional approaches based on the age and ability of their students, which may include:

  • Using all (or certain components) of an activity card.
  • Teaching activity cards in a different order (excluding Primary activity cards that have been developed with a specific learning progression in mind).
  • Extending instruction of certain activity cards across multiple classes.
  • Identifying opportunities for making additional curriculum connections.

Activity Booklet

A Wallet Wellness activity booklet has been developed for students at the junior levels (Grades 4–6).

Educators' Corner & Facilitator’s Guide

The Facilitator’s Guide is designed to provide educators with background information on financial literacy and the Wallet Wellness program. Information on what financial literacy is and why it is important is included along with considerations for teaching financial literacy and how it connects to the Grades 4–8 Health and Physical Education (H&PE) curriculum.
