Growing Healthy Places: Caregiver Information Hub

A partnership project for student health & well-being

Growing Healthy Places: Mississauga is an exciting new project to help school-aged children in Peel Region thrive! Over the next 2 years, selected schools will team up with local partners to improve access for students aged 6-13 to nutritious food, safe spaces for physical activity, and opportunities to build health and physical literacy.

The project is led by Ophea, 8 80 Cities, Brock University, Peel District School Board (PDSB) and Novo Nordisk Canada Inc., and is part of a larger international Cities for Better Health initiative. Five cities across five countries (Canada, Brazil, Japan, South Africa and Spain) are involved in this global effort.

22 Peel District School Board (PDSB) schools have been selected to take part in the project as either an Activation or a Reference School.
