Instructions

Standing

Start standing on the left leg with knee slightly bent and the torso slightly forward bending at the hips. Right leg is tucked behind your left on an angle, like a flamingo. Push off with the left leg landing on your right leg with the knee slightly bent, the left leg following and tucked behind the right on an angle, like a flamingo. Arms are bent at 90 degrees while swinging sideways, opposite arm to leg.

Key Phrase: “Push off and land right, left tuck; Push off and land left, right tuck.”

Seated

Start by sitting with feet together and safely planted on the ground. Lean forward slightly keeping the back straight and knees directly above your ankles. Shift your weight to the right, lift the left leg with the knee slightly bent and the right foot planted on the ground. Then shift your weight to the left, lifting the right leg with the knee slightly bent and the left foot firmly planted on the ground. Arms are bent at 90 degrees while swinging sideways, opposite arm to leg.
