Lesson 1: Introduction to Net & Wall Games

Learning Goal:

We are learning how to control an object safely with an implement, for fun and success.

Primary Focus:

Sending and receiving an object safely with an implement.

Junior Focus:

Sending and receiving an object with an implement to create a rally.

Intermediate Focus:

Sending and receiving an object with an implement to create a rally and demonstrating control with object placement.

Lesson 2: Introduction to the Concept of a Rally

Learning Goal:

We are learning how to send an object with or without an implement, over a net, demonstrating safety and achieving joy and success.

Primary Focus:

Sending an object with or without an implement into an intended direction.

Junior Focus:

Sending and receiving an object with an implement to create a rally alone and with another learner.

Intermediate Focus:

Sending and/or receiving an object with or without an implement to create a rally and demonstrating control with object placement.

Lesson 3: Teaching Game Play Through Playing Games

Learning Goal:

We are learning how to send an object with or without an implement, over a net, while creating a rally or generating game play.

Primary Focus:

Sending an object over a net and/or to a wall while creating a rally.

Junior Focus:

Learn and practice sending an object into open space using an implement and practice defending an area.

Intermediate Focus:

Sending and/or receiving an object with or without an implement to create a rally and generating game play.

Lesson 4: Refining Skills, Concepts and Strategies in Net and Wall Games

Learning Goal:

We are learning how to apply skills, concepts and strategies when playing net and wall games alone and/or with others, for fun and success.

Primary Focus:

Sending and receiving an object to a wall while creating a rally.

Junior Focus:

Learn and practice planning and setting up for an attack while, being aware of defending your open side of the court.

Intermediate Focus:

Sending and/or receiving an object with or without an implement to generate game play while refining skills and planning tactical strategies.
