Students have the opportunity to enhance their inquiry skills to develop their health literacy related to the topic of vaccinations. Students formulate questions about vaccines through an inquiry approach and then identify, gather, and organise information from various digital and media sources. Students assess the information for accuracy, currency, and relevance, and evaluate the credibility of the information based on the source and bias that may be present. Students then use credible, evidence-based research to make informed choices about vaccinations and communicate their choices to others. This process helps students become health and media literate and independent thinkers who can access, understand, and use credible information to make informed health choices.
